Detroit is the largest city in the midwestern state of Michigan and straddles the waters of The Detroit River which separates the United States and Canada. Throughout history Detroit has been known as the automotive capital of the world and home to the “Big 3” automobile manufacturers. Detroit’s sporting history has deep roots thanks to it’s NHL, NBA and NFL teams. The Detroit Red Wings who are part of the “Original 6” won countless Stanley Cup Trophy’s in their old home The Joe Louis Arena and are currently seeking their new identity in the state of the art complex named The Little Caesars Arena. The NFL’s Detroit Lions is a franchise that exudes history. Lion’s fans have had the luxury of watching their team play each and every Thanksgiving Day as the Lions have been part of this tradition for decades and decades. The NBA’s Detroit Pistons officially became Detroit’s own in 1957 and share a home with the Red Wings at Little Caesar’s Arena. The Pistons have won championships in the 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s are to date, are looking for that next one.

The City of Detroit is currently in the midst of a major comeback and is home to many amazing restaurants, theatres, hotels and all the big ticket items you’d want to see and visit in a large city.
