The Winter Manor

The Willistead Manor found in the Walkerville neighborhood of Windsor, Ontario is arguably the most iconic property in the area. The Manor was built in 1905 for the Walker family who came to the area and successfully created Canadian Club Whiskey brands. After the majority of the Walker family passed away, the grounds were deeded to the town of Walkerville, which then amalgamated with the city of Windsor. Currently, this piece of history sits inside Willistead Park and is a popular attraction for history buffs and for photographers looking to capture that perfect shot. Throughout the Christmas season The Manor is transformed into a winter wonderland and offers guided tours to experience the compound in all it’s festive glory.
